Back-End Developer

Position Overview
As a Back-end Developer at Hey Reliable, you will handle a variety of website projects, from simple to complex challenges. Your main tasks will involve taking HTML and CSS designs from our front-end team and transforming them into fully custom themes using Advanced Custom Fields, addressing all aspects of WordPress architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes, ensuring functionality and performance
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable PHP and MySQL code
• Customize and extend WooCommerce functionality as needed
• Integrate third-party APIs, such as MailChimp, Google Maps, Payment Gateways, and Salesforce
• Optimize website security, performance, and scalability
• Collaborate with the front-end team to bring designs to life
• Work with version control systems like Git
• Manage server-side configurations with technologies such as Apache and Nginx

Required Skills and Experience

• Advanced knowledge of WordPress and its core functionality
• Strong experience with PHP, MySQL, and custom plugin development
• Expertise in WordPress theme development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery
• Familiarity with security best practices and performance optimization for WordPress sites
• Experience with front-end frameworks like Vue.js and React is a plus
• Experience with Elementor and Webflow is a bonus
