Hey Reliable

Here’s What’s Cooking at Hey Reliable

It’s hard to believe it’s been nearly three and a half years since we started reshaping what Hey Reliable could be. I’ve been part of this team since 2017, and in late 2021, I stepped into a new role helping lead the company into its next chapter. It’s been nonstop since then—in the best way. We’ve changed a lot. We’ve grown even more. And through it all, one thing hasn’t shifted: I still love what I do. I love our clients. I love our team. And I couldn’t be more excited about where we’re heading.

A Website That Finally Feels Like Us

We recently launched our new website—and for the first time, it truly reflects who we are.

The last site was transitional. It served its purpose and helped us move forward, but it was always a stepping stone. This new one just feels better—better design, better structure, better language. More thoughtful. More representative of how we work and what we care about.

Some favorite parts:

  • Our new Reviews page—complete with video testimonials from real clients. All of them made me quite literally jump up and down when I received them. There may or may not have been squealing.
  • Custom Lottie animations throughout the site—simple, thoughtful touches that bring a little life to the experience without a negative impact to site speed or performance.
  • Our new Get Started form—no pressure, no forcing you to hand over designs before you’re ready. Just a simple way to share who you are, how you want to work, and start a conversation before jumping into a transaction.
  • Content that reflects our standards, our care, and the way we quietly show up for clients every day.

How We Work (And Why It’s Different Now)

One of the biggest changes we’ve made since 2021 is how we work with our clients—and what kind of experience we want them to have.

We want things to feel easy, flexible, and collaborative. A lot of that comes down to communication, responsiveness, and being thoughtful in how we show up.

Our goal is to be the Nordstrom of web development teams: responsive, dependable, and known for going above and beyond to take care of people. If you’re unfamiliar with the reference—Nordstrom built a legendary reputation by simplifying everything around the customer experience. No complicated rules. No hiding behind policy. Just a real commitment to service. That’s what we aim for.

Back prior to 2021 when we were Reliable PSD, the company had a long list of rigid client-side rules—tight timelines for revisions, and an almost paranoid fear of scope creep. It created more stress than it solved.

To be clear, we still respect project scope. But we’re not here to be the scope police.

We try to be thoughtful. Reasonable. We do things on the house when we can. We don’t nickel and dime. And we’ve created a culture where conversations are easy instead of exhausting.

Before these changes, I sometimes felt like I was acting as legal counsel between the client and our internal team—mediating issues that didn’t need to become battles. These days, we don’t even have those problems. And truthfully, it’s a much better, more enjoyable way to work.

Flexible Ways to Work With Us

We’ve made it easier to collaborate—whether you need something small, something ongoing, or a long-term partner.

You can work with us:

  • By the project – clear scope and fixed pricing
  • By the hour – Volume Discounted Hours ideal for ongoing development needs (hours are valid for two years)
  • By the month – through our Web Development Retainers (front-end or CMS packages available—or something custom, including UI/UX design)
  • Through WordPress maintenance – including our new Agency Plan for teams managing 5+ sites, complete with white label reports and support

It’s all built to support long-term relationships, without locking you into something that doesn’t fit.

Still Included: Our 90-Day Code Guarantee

Long before we started talking about flexibility and service, our reputation was built on quality.

We still stand behind every line of code. And we back it with a 90-day guarantee.

If something goes wrong within the original scope, we fix it—quickly and at no cost.

Before 2021, we offered a 30-day guarantee. But extending it to 90 days just made sense. We’re in this for long-term partnerships, and we want our process to reflect that.

Expanded Services and Capabilities

Our service lineup has grown to meet the needs of more clients, across more platforms:

  • Webflow development
  • Craft CMS development
  • Technical SEO, including Core Web Vitals audits and optimization

Development is what we do. But it’s the way we do it—quietly, carefully, and with care—that sets us apart.

What’s Next

We’ve worked with teams all over the world, including the EU and UK—and this year, we’re expanding that support in a few exciting ways.

🇮🇪 Opening Our EU Office

We’re launching a new office in Ireland to better support clients across Europe and the UK. This will allow us to work more closely across time zones and grow long-term relationships with teams throughout the region.

🔌 Entering the WP Plugin Marketplace

We’re releasing two internal tools publicly this year:

  • Proposal Plugin – Branded proposals with timeline calendars, payment features, and clean, professional templates
  • File Upload Plugin – Let clients upload files directly to your Google Drive from your WordPress site

🤝 Affiliate Program (Beta)

We also quietly launched our affiliate program in beta. We’ll be sharing more soon on how to join, but here’s a preview: lifetime commissions, and an affiliate dashboard that makes everything easy to track and manage.

Thanks for Following Along

If you’ve made it this far—thank you. We’re glad you’re here.

If you ever want to talk through a project, see how we work, or explore teaming up, we’d love to hear from you.
