Mary Marnell

Mary Marnell is Managing Partner at Hey Reliable, where she’s been hands-on with every part of the business since 2017. From working directly with clients to collaborating with developers and reviewing front-end code, Mary moves fluidly between details and big picture—often within the same hour. Her eye for precision and tendency to zoom in on even the smallest issues make her a natural fit for the kind of work Hey Reliable is known for: clean, efficient, high-quality code.

Mary’s path to development started in the studio. A lifelong artist, she earned her BFA in drawing and painting from the University of Georgia. Around the same time, her dad introduced her to WordPress—setting the stage for a career that would eventually blend creativity, structure, and technology. That combination now shapes how she leads, how she communicates, and how she ensures nothing goes out the door without being fully dialed in.

Outside of work, Mary is restoring a 1920s Queen Anne home, raising a spirited young son, and still finding time to draw, paint, and travel whenever she can.
